Waterproofing admixtures are enable concrete to become waterproof. They can be added to the concrete at the batching plant or applied topically after the concrete has been poured. Admixtures tend to be pour blocking or crystalline in nature. This makes them ideal for swimming pools, water retaining structures and marine projects.
Cementitious waterproofing coatings are cement based seamless coatings used to provide positive and negative side waterproofing protection on concrete and masonry surfaces. They prevent damage from water infiltration and can be rendered after application if required. They are well suited for water retaining and water resisting structures like basements, retaining walls and water tanks.
Liquid waterproofing systems are cold applied liquid membranes that can provide long-term protection for external flat and sloped surfaces. They can provide a seamless finish that will protect the surface for years to come. It can be applied by hand or spray onto surfaces like balconies and podium decks.
Sheet waterproofing is a layer of water-tight material that is laid over a surface. This layer is continuous and does not allow water to pass through. They provide a uniform thickness and are not reliant on the applicator to check film thickness. They are best used in critical waterproofing infrastructure or when time constraints do not allow drying of a liquid system.
Waterstops are used during cast in concrete projects to produce watertight seals in both movement and construction joints. They are applied at the time of concrete pour and are commonly used in pools, water retaining structures or when the joint protected is below the water table.
