Suspended Deck Waterproofing
Requirements:
The scope called for a fully adhered high performance sheet membrane system for a suspended deck with habitable rooms directly below.
Solution:
The Ardex Weldtec system was chosen as the waterproofing solution for this project. It can be considered the ultimate in bullet proof waterproofing systems as all joints are heat welded. This system is particularly suited to substrates where future movment is anticipated.
The substrated is cleaned and primed as required.
Detailing works completed with WPM 1000 and STB tape.
Application of WA 98 adhesive followed by WPM 1000 heat welded sheet membrane.
Tiling or screeding can occur after 1 hour.

Ardex WPM 1000
A polypropylene-lined heat weldable waterproofing sheet membrane specially formulated for the direct adhesion of tiled systems or for other non-exposed use.
Ardex WA 98
A high performance membrane contact adhesive. It has been specially developed for ARDEX sheet applied membranes and adheres to a variety of substrates.
Ardex STB STA Tape
A high performing self adhesive butyl tape designed to create a waterproof seal for drains, penetrations, junctions, and joints prior to ARDEX applied membrane solutions.
