Heavy Industry Bumper Stops

Requirements:

The scope called for the use of a High Temperature Epoxy Grout with high compressive and bond strengths to deal with the extreme dynamic loading of the bumper stops from the impact of white hot steel on a rolling platform. The Epoxy Grout required high compressive and flexural strengths as well as having excellent creep resistance ensuring it maintains multi-dimensional support under constant and dynamic load.

Solution:

IIS-PF9-HP/EG was selected as the Epoxy Grout of choice. It is a 3 part prefilled grout with the ability to be site adjusted to suit environmental and site conditions. Two blade mixing units with M150 piston grout pumps were used for efficient application. This product has a long history of successful application in identical and similar applications where extreme dynamic forces are expected in elevated ambient temperatures.
