Decorative Showroom Floor

Requirments:

The scope called for a premium quality, decorative epoxy flake floor system. The system was required to be durable enough for heavy traffic and have good UV stability.

Solution:

Hychem International was selected as the manufacturer of the products for this project. Hychem SF20 was selected as the base coat as it is a solventless, chemical resistant, two components epoxy coating with high solvent resistance and good colour stability. Vinyl flakes of varying colours were used. Hychem Epoxy Glaze 3 was selected as the clear coat. It is a  specialist, cycloaliphatic resin with excellent non-yellowing characteristics, 100% solids base and zero VOC emissions content. It is designed as a coating for indoor situations exposed to strong sunlight or UV lamps.
