CTS Rapid Set Trade Day
Requirements:
To highlight the advances in rapid set cement technology as well as demonstrate the use of a number of unique machines. In attendence were a mix of contractors, consultant engineers and engineers from large companies including Bluescope, Roads and Maritime Services and Port Corp.
Solutions:
Mixing and application was shown on the CTS range of pre packaged bags including Cement all, Mortar Mix and Concrete Mix.
Live demonstrations were given on some unique machines that can increase productivity including:
- Volumetric Continuous Mixing Stations which can site batch up to 10 cu m of product and allow individualised batch design changes immediately if required.
- Minnich Dowel Pin Drills which can produce up to 5 dowel holes that are 50mm diameter and 250mm deep in as little as 40 seconds.

Products used
Cement All
Multipurpose rapid setting Class C non shrink grout that can be used in a variety of applications from feather edge to 100mm.
Mortar Mix
workable high quality mortar designed for rapid strength gain and high durability for vertical and overhead applications of 12mm to 150mm.
Concrete Mix
workable, high quality concrete material that is ideal where rapid strength gain, high durability and low shrinkage are required in thicknesses ranging from 50mm to 600mm.
Set Control
Slows down the setting time of cement allowing you more time to place and finish your concrete, mortar, and grout materials.
Flow Control
Significantly increase the fluidity of the mixture.
Minnich Dowel Pin Drill
Enables rapid production of multiple dowel holes in as little as 40 seconds.
Volumetric Continuous Mixing System
Enables on site batching of up to 10 cu m per truck of multiple design mixes that can be immediately adjusted as required.
